But I can confirmed the part that I did peek into them some time last year, which was interesting, but didn't come to my mind that it will have an Anime this year.
Another thing that come to my mind before I peek the story was how I mistaken the title as "Date ALive" instead of Date A Live. Reason was the font use for [Date] is different from [A Live], but the [A Live] are using the same font instead, which was the reason behind this common misunderstanding. But when one pronoun the title in English, it really sound as Date Alive, which the pause didn't seem to be that in between A and Live.
I had to admit that the Story is interesting despite the part that the plot is Harem for the Main Hero himself. Well, let get started with some quick knowledge on what I know. Again, the Anime somehow cut off some part from both the Manga and Light Novels.
Story started with Shido Itsuka living with his foster sister, Kotori Itsuka. And of course you can see how lively and close they are when Kotori dance on top of sleeping Shido just to wake him up.
You can say that she is the pure and innocent and cute Imouto whom many would want to have. And Shido is looking after her, and being the one to cook for her too.
What a Spacequake?
Let take it into a simple short cut term of Space Explosion + Earthquake, which become Spacequake.
The destruction power of the Spacequake is so powerful that it can wipe out a big area of town. So far Spacequake had appeared in many places and claimed the life of many.
But what is not disclose is what caused the Spacequake in the first place. And again, it happened at the place near to the Restaurant which Shido promised to meet with Kotori.
Worried about her, Shido run all the way to the restaurant to find her, but to no value and to witness and get into the Spacequake himself.
For those who peek into the Anime, the happen is really very powerful and destructive, having many building blow off and flatten.
It no wonder why those Spacequake are so dangerous and many people need to evaluate in order to survive. Before the start of the story, it been claimed that many million life were gone due to the Spacequake.
When Shido get up after surviving from the shock-wave of the spacequake, he found a girl in purple armor dress with a sword with her. And he is draw toward her, but she mistaken him as an enemies who trying to kill her.
It no wonder when the AST (Anti-Spirit Team) appear out of nowhere and start attacking the mysterious girl to no value. Origami Tobiichi, the top student in Shido's school is part of the team too and she want to kill the Spirit no matter what, for revenge of her death parents.
What Shido wasn't awared that the captain of the flying ship, Fraxinus, was no other than his own imouto, Kotori.
It is revealed to him that those Spacequake are caused by Spirit, who appear out of no where and when they appear, a spacequake will happen which signify their appearance.
The mysterious girl was codenamed as Princess, who Shido want to help her when he noticed the sad and depressed face when he first saw her. And in order to help her, Kotori reveal her plan; Getting Shido to ask the girl out on a date and let her fall in love with him.
Not much was revealed and both Kotori and Reine had to ensure that Shido go through a training on how to date a girl, and the first simulation training is to play a Dating Sims Genre Game to ensure he got a better understanding.
Of course he had to train hard or else he will get it from Kotori, but anime just show that he pull a late night to finish the dating sims game.
But what got me amused is to find that Origami is the stalker type in this story. Reason was that she even reveal that she secretly smell Shido's gym clothes and to know almost every details of him.
Even at later episodes, I got a laugh when she is able to list and tell when and where Shido bought his Bento box. And from what I see, she sure know how to use her military skills to stalk Shido without anyone knowing. Shido best friend, Tonomachi Hiroto.
From how story gone, it would seem that Origami did met Shido once and got a crush on him. Due to the misunderstanding of the practical training in dating a girl, Origami though of herself and Shido's girlfriend and will not stand if he cheat on her.
Even during the second earthquake, when she though Shido was in danger and even rush in to attack the mysterious girl alone. The problem was that Shido want to talk to the mysterious girl, and what the running gag was when Kotori can get the best "specialist" in dating to give their advice to Shido at any time.
I really laughed at the part where Shido got himself attack by the mysterious girl many times. What got me wondering is how did the computer able to list out 3 different option to Shido, as if he is playing a real life dating sim. It really remind me of the series, "The world that God only know".
In anyway, he was able to give the girl a name, Tohka Yatogami, and inviting her to a date. Though due to Origami that Tohka disappear and not able to go on a date.
When Shido go back to the school site to check thing out, and after confirming that the school is close for reconstruction, what amazed him was when Tohka appeared in front of him and asking him to take her on a date.
Question was that she did not cause a spacequake which should be the signal of their appearance. Due to that, both Origami and Kotori wasn't aware of this at first, until they both noticed Shido.
What was amazingly is how Tohka able to adapt to their world so fast, and able to eat so many food, which I wonder if her stomach is a black hole or what. She sure eat a lot and never get fat herself. During their date, Origami was spying on both of them, but it just show how she stalk on Shido, and Kotori after knowing the date, decided to help the date go smoothly.
Kotori revealed to Reine that Shido isn't her real brother and that the reason why she choose him as the one to date the spirit was; Shido can not die. Well, during the ending of the date, Origami open fire trying to kill Tohka, but Shido push her out of the way and got shot instead.
True to Kotori's words, Shido was "resurrect" and able to calm Tohka down, and even sealing her power off with a kiss.
This sealing kiss was Shido's trump card which he need to get the one being kiss to be close relation to him, which the power might go back to the original user if she is in unstable mood again.
It also seem that Kotori got the spirit power once which was sealed by Shido once, and when he seal a spirit's power, he is able to use the power for himself, but provided the relationship of the original user and him must be close.
Though Origami do not report her finding to her superior, she and Tohka had a love rivalry over Shido. Kotori also reveal that there are many other spirit's power need to be seal off. And so, Shido got more problem and trouble in hand than he can wish for.
Shido got those girl to stick to him, and Kotori isn't going to give Shido an easy life when she set many "traps" for him with Tohka, and sometime with some other girl.
And so, Shido's life of Love problem and dating the spirit and sealing their power off with a kiss start.
Well, I do find the story to be interesting, where Shido trying his best to seal the spirit's power, the problem was that the girls are fighting themselves over Shido, And of course new girls will start to appear into his life when he need to seal their power off. And as the number of girls increase, the more trouble for Shido appear.
Well, the later chapter for "The world that God only know" did having those girls remembering Keima, but though the similar part on dating the girl, their role are different as one side is having those girl being more powerful while one side is those girl having "souls" inside them.
In any sense, the story in the Anime might be shorten, so those who wish to know more, can peek into the Light Novel since the chapter is almost up to the latest chapters. I did peek a little, but if I said out too much, then I would spoil too much.
